Rihanna Poses for Ad Campaign

Nivea cosmetics have recruited Rihanna to be the face of their latest promotional campaign.

The 23-year-old singer posed nude for Nivea's new ad campaign, 'The 100 Years of Skincare for Life,

' which commemorates the brand's 100th anniversary this year. The official promotion will launch in May, in conjunction with the kick-off of Rihanna's 'Loud' world tour, which will now be sponsored by Nivea.

"Over the past 100 years, Nivea has been an iconic skincare brand across the world that is built on the trust of our consumers," Nivea board member Markus Pinger said in a statement. "We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans."

The last time Rihanna was in the news for posing nude, the headlines weren't as flattering. Candid photos that RiRi sent of herself to someone with her cell phone surfaced in May 2009. The images surfaced three months after she was infamously assaulted by Chris Brown the night before the Grammys, leading people to believe he leaked the photos, which he later denied.

In addition to prepping for her upcoming tour, Rihanna recently wrapped up a series of high-profile appearances at the Grammys, where she was joined by Drake to perform her single 'What's My Name?,' and at the NBA All-Star Game halftime show where she performed with both Drake and Kanye West. Following her performance at the All-Star Game, Rihanna rang in her 23rd birthday with a lavish, star-studded party sponsored by Nivea

Christina Aguilera Joins NBC's 'The Voice'

Just days after an arrest for public intoxication, Christina Aguilera has officially joined the new NBC show 'The Voice.'

According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer has signed on to be a coach/judge on the Mark Burnett-produced singing competition. She'll join 'Forget You' singer Cee Lo Green and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine at the judging table.

"I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it," Aguilera said in a statement. "To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists' careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms. I am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to 'The Voice.'"

Burnett said he knew right off the bat that Aguilera would be the perfect female coach.

"When I decided to produce 'The Voice,' I immediately knew that my first choice for a female coach had to be Christina Aguilera," Burnett told EW. "Christina has a perfect voice and is an undeniable force in the music business. She is the epitome of 'The Voice.'"

Aguilera has made her fair share of headlines this year. After she botched the national anthem at the Super Bowl and had a slight stumble onstage at the Grammys, the singer was arrested for public intoxication on March 1.

Lady Gaga is threatening to sue The Icecreamists

Lady Gaga is threatening to sue The Icecreamists, a Central London ice cream parlor, that used part of her name to sell their human breast milk-derived frozen treat.

The Icecreamists have gained some publicity since premiering the specialty ice cream, 'Baby Gaga,' nearly two weeks ago but now face a lawsuit.

Gaga's attorneys at the law firm of Mishcon de Reya sent the owners a legal letter asking them to stop using the name 'Gaga' in their ice cream, calling their concoction "deliberately provocative and, to many people, nausea-inducing."

The singer's lawyers are accusing Icecreamists owner Matt O'Connor of trying to promote his ice cream by linking it to her name, stating, "The references you are making to Lady Gaga are thus clearly deliberate and intended to take advantage of her reputation and good will. Associating the Lady Gaga mark with a food product which may be unsafe for human consumption (owing to the risk of it carrying such viruses as hepatitis) is also highly detrimental."

The ice cream shop is known for its obscure specialty creamy confections, but this one is causing more concern for fear of the spread of the hepatitis virus. Inspectors from Westminster Council's food standards confiscated the ice cream to determine if it met the country's health standards. O'Connor responded by stating that their first volunteer, Victoria Hiley, (whose 30 oz. of breast milk could help make 50 servings of Baby Gaga) was a registered blood donor and examined at a clinic prior to donating any milk.

Apparently, the ice cream is not for sale until it is officially cleared, according to O'Connor in an official statement on the ice cream parlor's blog. "It is worth noting that this ice cream was on sale for just a few hours before it was banned by Westminster Council, so it's not as if its been a best seller for a parlor where the paint is barely dry and the doors open just over a week," says O'Connor. "Nobody seems to have told her it is no longer for sale."

In a recent interview with Britain's Evening Standard, O'Connor said that the Gaga threats were unfair. "We think this is very unnecessary, the whole thing will be over by next week, but we are prepared to fight this in court," he said. "This is a David versus Goliath battle. I'm convinced we will eventually win. The world's biggest superstar has taken umbrage with the world's smallest ice cream parlor. For Lady Gaga to accuse us of stealing her image is laughable when you consider how much she has borrowed from popular culture to create her look and music. She also seems to have forgotten that since the dawn of time the word gaga has been one of the first discernible phrases to come from a baby's mouth. This is why we chose the name."

O'Connor added, "As for her assertion that our product is distasteful, perhaps she should reflect on her blood-spurting performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, or the fact she wears clothes fabricated from the flesh of dead animals. We have applied to register the trademark Baby Gaga and are confident we'll secure this."

When Baby Gaga first went on sale, women in Gaga-inspired garb served the ice cream at Icecreamists. Scooped into a martini glass, liquid nitrogen is then poured into the ice cream via syringe, and it's served with a rusk or baby teething biscuit.

The specialty ice cream is pasteurized then churned with Madagascan vanilla pods and lemon zest and sells for a whopping $23 per serving. Nearly 15 women, in total, have already reportedly volunteered to donate their milk to produce more Baby Gaga.

Mel Gibson Gets Plea Deal in Criminal Abuse Case

Mel Gibson has taken a plea deal in his ongoing criminal case, TMZ reports. The site's sources say Mel will make a court appearance Friday and make a no contest battery plea, meaning he will
not spend time in jail for a reported incident of abuse on Jan. 6, 2010.

RadarOnline.com reports that Alexander "Sasha" Dalton, the son of Mel's allegedly abused baby mama Oksana Grigorieva, was set to testify as the star witness. Sasha, 13, is the child of Oksana and actor Timothy Dalton.

"One major reason why this case was being brought against Mel Gibson, more than a year after the alleged incident took place, is because Sasha was made available to testify at a potential criminal trial against Mel," a source close to the case tells Radar. "Sasha's involvement and cooperation in the case was absolutely essential, and because he is a minor, both of his parents had to agree to let him participate, and that took some time to make happen."

"Even though Mel believed he could win the case, he struck the deal to protect his loved ones," TMZ writes.

Gibson's lawyer, Blair Berk, released the following statement to TMZ:

"I know from almost 20 years as a criminal defense lawyer that sometimes justice can come for a client at too high a personal price. That is particularly so for Mel, whose right to due process can only be exercised in this case with an enormous media circus attached.

Mel's priority throughout all of this has been that the best interests of his young daughter Lucia and the rest of his children be put first in any decisions made. It is with only that in mind that he asked me to approach the District Attorney with a proposal that would bring all of this to an immediate end."

Though the criminal case appears close to an end, RadarOnline contends that Mel's image-rehab is far from over. "The way many people perceive Mel is forever changed," Radar's Managing Editor and Executive Vice President David Perel tells PopEater. "Mel's taped rants, with racist, violent and misogynistic language, will never be erased from the public consciousness. The aftereffects will linger for a long, long time."

Rihanna Doesn't Want Whitney Houston Remake Role

Without exactly being asked, Rihanna has clarified that she isn't interested in filling Whitney Houston's shoes in an upcoming remake of the 'The Bodyguard.'

Rihanna tells OK! magazine she won't take on the role of singer Rachel Marron, played by Houston in the 1992 hit film, because it wouldn't be challenging enough for her. Rihanna says that she would like to escape into a role rather than play a singer.

"Absolutely not," Rihanna says. "I want to separate the two. I hate it when singers do singing movies all the time, because you can never look at them as anybody else."

Rihanna will have a chance to escape in her upcoming role -- also her big screen debut -- in the upcoming 'Battleship' movie, based on the classic Hasbro board game of the same name. The film, out May 2012, also stars 'True Blood' actor Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Kitsch and follows a naval fleet that must protect earth against an alien attack. It's not clear who Rihanna will play in the film, but she was photographed wearing a Navy uniform on location in Hawaii last year.

"I want to play a character," said Rihanna. "My whole life is playing Rihanna, [so] being a singer [in a film] won't be a stretch for me. I like challenges, and being an actor is playing a role, being able to step into somebody else's shoes, that's the excitement."

Other divas who have been rumored for the famous Houston role are Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson. Writers Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer have already signed on to pen the remake, but there's still no word on a director or who will fill the role of the actual bodyguard, Frank Farmer, made famous by Kevin Costner in the original film

Diddy and Jay-Z are holding down the top two positions

Forbes has revealed their list of Hip-Hop's Wealthiest Artists, and not surprisingly, Diddy and Jay-Z are holding down the top two positions, respectively.

Jay-Z has made an appearance on Forbes' lists for four years in a row, with earnings of $63 million last year, in addition to the No. 1 spot for Top Earning Celebrity Couples, with wife Beyonce.

Diddy, also a consistent contender on the list, claimed the No.1 spot with $475 million, Jay-Z at No. 2 with $450 million, Dr. Dre with $125 million, 50 Cent at No. 4 with $100 million and Cash Money CEO Birdman tying at No. 5 with $100 million.

Diddy's colossal earnings are attributed to his stakes in Bad Boy Worldwide Records, Sean John Clothing and his joint business deal with Ciroc vodka, while Jay-Z's success is attributed to endeavors in fashion and food in addition to personal musical success and his Roc Nation label.

Forbes says they picked the list by "valuing current holdings, looking at past earnings, leafing through financial documents and talking to a bevy of analysts, attorneys, managers and other industry players to find the nitty-gritty details."

Only performers were eligible for the list, which was kept at a five-person minimum due to the lack of financial information on rappers earning less than $100 million. Forbes also released an updated list of the world's billionaires.

Matt Damon say he was not a fan of President Barack Obama

Hearing Matt Damon say he was not a fan of President Barack Obama last week on CNN's 'Piers Morgan Tonight' may have come as a surprise to those who have followed the popular actor's

liberal politics for the past few years.

In fact, Damon spent many days campaigning around the country for Obama when he was a presidential candidate in 2008. Together with his friend Ben Affleck, Damon did talk shows, hosted events, gave interviews and allowed the Democratic Party to get as much mileage out of him as possible within the constraints of his busy work schedule.

When he canvassed the nation for Obama, Damon was impressed with the candidate's idealism and ambition to make significant change in areas like poverty, health care and education.

On those issues, Damon now believes President Obama has compromised too much.

He told Morgan, "Obama has misinterpreted his mandate and doubled down on a lot of things." The actor has also criticized the president on not finding an effective reform for Wall Street practices, and he is still waiting to hear the hows and whys of the troop buildup in Afghanistan.

Even though Damon still believes that the President is "brilliant" and a "deep thinker," he is especially upset over the state of world hunger.

"In his State of the Union speech, he didn't even say the word 'poverty,'" Damon, a spokesman for hunger relief organization Feeding America, told Morgan. "You've got millions of people languishing in it."

Now shooting the Cameron Crow film 'We Bought A Zoo,' where he plays a zookeeper, Damon would make an excellent political candidate himself if he weren't such a popular actor. He has said he is not interested in running for office, yet between his diversified acting roles, education and political activism, he could be a great asset should he ever reconsider.

Damon founded H20 African Foundation, the charity division of Running the Sahara, which merged with WaterPartners in 2009. He supports the ONE Campaign to fight AIDS and poverty in Third World countries, and he is an ambassador for OneXOne, a non-profit foundation that improves the lives of kids around the world.

Tsunami Survivor Petra Nemcova Monitoring Situation in Japan

Supermodel and a founder and chairwoman of Happy Hearts Fund Petra Nemcova has devoted the past five years to rebuilding schools in areas stricken by natural disasters like the one we

witnessed hours ago in Japan. Today the 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant and her staff at the HHF have been closely monitoring how they can help the stricken region.

"My heart goes out to the people of Japan. I speak for all the Happy Hearts Fund team, volunteers and supporters around the world when I say that we are thinking of them today and will be through the rebuilding process," Nemcova said. While most of us were able to watch the tsunami's terror this morning with detached horror, it was very real to Nemcova, who founded the Happy Hearts fund after she survived the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami in Thailand.

This month HHF is marking the completion of its 50th school construction project and in addition to rebuilding existing school structures, the organization has begun putting curriculum in place for natural disaster preparedness in areas that have proven vulnerable. Students in Happy Hearts Schools study and draw about natural disaster preparedness, sharing their knowledge of the science and safety of specific types of disasters.

The fund currently operates in nine countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Sri Lanka, Haiti, India, Chile and Hurricane Katrina-affected areas of the United States.

According to Happy Hearts Executive Director Phil Caputo, HHF is monitoring the situation in Japan closely to see where Happy Hearts' resources can best be used in the aftermath of this devastating event. For updates on HHF's work and to donate, visit the Happy Hearts website, friend them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter.

ABBA Fuel Reunion and Royal Wedding Performance Rumors..

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.popeater.com/media/2010/12/abba200aaol-music-uk301210.jpg
ABBA singer Agnetha Faltskog has fueled rumors of the band reuniting for Prince William's wedding next year by saying that they would be open to reforming for special occasions.

Swedish news website The Local reports that Faltskog said in a magazine interview that one-off events, such as performances for charity, could see the group reunite.

Faltskog told M Magazine, "A reunion, an occasional opportunity, maybe in connection with a charity event, I believe we could consider it.

"We would not reunite for a tour like the Rolling Stones and other old bands do now. However, I could see us doing something together in the future. It is just a feeling I have that it would be fun to get together, talk a bit about the past and maybe perform together."
The news comes amidst rumors that the Swedish foursome could be set to perform the wedding Prince William and Kate Middleton, which will take place on April 29 next year.

Digital Spy reports that Bookmaker Ladbrokes has laid down odds of 66-1 on the band playing at the wedding.

Lady Gaga - Born This Way Is (Glee)-Bound

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.popeater.com/media/2011/01/gaga.jpg.jpg
The producers of 'Glee' have paid homage to Lady Gaga before, but they're not done yet.

This weekend, EW.com learned from 'Glee' co-creator Ryan Murphy that the Grammy winner has granted the hit series permission to create new material around her upcoming track, 'Born This Way,' which drops Feb. 13 (just days ago, her "little monsters" learned the release date via a much-hyped New Year's tweet). Gaga's new

song will reportedly pop up in an episode this "March or April."

And just how do writers plan to weave the proud, defiant lyrics into the McKinley High storyline? No spoiler alert necessary, but
after the jump, find out which supporting character will be in the spotlight when 'Glee' celebrates 'Born This Way.'

lady gaga–Born this way 2010

In-the-closet bully Karofsky (Max Adler), who already terrified Kurt (Chris Colfer) into transferring schools, is expected to be a central figure in the plot. Not that anyone knows just how that menacing character and Gaga's uplifting tune fit together -- yet.

"I love that that song is anthem," says Murphy. "This show is, by nature, optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze, or pills, or alcohol, and kill themselves, or do something dark. But I also love Max, and I love that character, and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don't really know what that's going to be, but I do know we're going to do a whole episode that's about that song."

Still more exciting news for Gleeks: Gwyneth Paltrow, as reported last month, will indeed return this spring to hook up with Mr. Schue. "Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes," Murphy confirms to EW. "She's coming back specifically to date Will [Matthew Morrison]. Those two have become really good friends in real life, and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher. Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We're trying to do something fantastic. So she'll be [in episodes] 15 and 16. She comes back [to film] in January, and she's with us for three and a half weeks, I think."

Finally, fans who miss the show's over-the-hill lush with a heart of platinum, April Rhodes, can look forward to Kristen Chenoweth reprising her Emmy-nominated guest role in an upcoming multi-episode arc.
